Studio Benefits
◊ Supportive Studio Environment
Joining a strong music studio means you'll be learning alongside other eager music students. Our studio meets every 3 weeks to perform and learn from each other in a Masterclass setting. Students are able to learn from one another while supporting deeper musical development than if studying alone.
◊ Teacher Training
Our teaching expertise comes from a strong background and familiarity of the Suzuki Method that includes Long Term Suzuki Teacher Training under Ms. Libby Armour, and long time teaching apprentice to Teacher-Trainer Esther Fellows. In addition, experience includes years of extensive training in both the traditional conservatory and university school systems.
◊ Musical Education
With a Bachelors, Masters, and Artist Diploma in Violin Performance from some of the finest conservatories and universities in the United States, Mrs. Schnackel is equipped with a strong background of musical knowledge and proficiency.
◊ Experienced Teaching
Over 15 years of studio teaching experience as a private and group Suzuki teacher.
◊ Flexible Schedule
We can find a time that works for you.
◊ Adjustable Approach
Whether you are a beginner, or an adult seeking to be a more proficient musician, we teach students how to further their musical development through ear training, reading skills, and technique exercises that incorporates our own experience with Suzuki and traditional styles of teaching.
◊ Trial Lesson
Choosing a teacher that's a good fit for you is an important first step to learning any new skill. In order to make that process easier for you, we offer a trial lesson to prospective students to ensure a confident fit.

◊ Absence PolicyWhen you pay for lessons, you purchase a specific time slot. Should there be a conflict with another engagement (such as doctor’s appointment or after school activity) and you cannot avoid missing a lesson, we ask for a courtesy 24 hours notice.
◊ Concert AttendanceI encourage my students to attend my concerts and recitals whenever possible. This allows for the student to be exposed to music at a high professional level. A calendar of events will be available at the beginning of every term.

◊ Weekly Practice
Beginning students start with 30 minute lessons once a week. As a student progresses and becomes more advanced, 45 or 60 minute lessons will be necessary to meet their growing needs. During the week we recommend 5-6 days of practice to reach a comfortable level of proficiency on an instrument. If you're comfortable, you'll be able to have fun!
If you don't know what amount of time to practice each day, feel free to ask. |
◊ Buying an InstrumentIf at the time of scheduling lessons you haven't purchased an instrument, I ask that you wait before buying any instrument until having consulted with me. I can guide you to appropriate and respected shops for choosing an instrument. Instruments are expensive; they are an investment! I want to help you make a purchase that will be beneficial for you long-term.
